Keystone Resort serves all levels of skiers, from beginners to advanced, and a man-made lake is surrounded by attractive ski lodges. The lake, one of the nation's largest groomed skating ponds, is popular with ice skaters in winter and paddle-boaters in summer — just don't run over the ducks.

A Nordic center caters to cross-country skiers and snowshoers, and instruction is available to both. In summer, those ski trails become hiking trails. The chairlift runs in the summer, too, to get hikers up to mountain-top trails. It's also fun to explore the area on horseback, or play a few rounds of golf on two high-altitude courses.
